On January 31 2017, the team was assembled for the first time in order to see and discuss what project awaits us. We met up with our mentor Haifa Maamar and Jason Hinders who is the head of all the final projects of the game department. Haifa presented us a story board that was created by our clients. The storyboard showed us a glimpse of how a virus invades a cell and how the cell counterattacks it. There were also some ideas presented as to how we can demonstrate this process, such as mini games, and a strategy game. The idea felt very simple for a four month project. Even so we started of by generating ideas for the game.
Our first problem though was that due to the limited information about the cells and virus, and seeing how none of us are biology majors, we struggled to come up with good ideas. We decided to set up a meeting with our clients in order to understand better what they want for the game. Later afternoon we had our online meeting with our clients, from the University Of Pittsburgh, to ask questions that we had gathered. After the meeting we called it a day in hopes of having a better start on designing our project.
February 2 2017 commenced the second day. We spent the whole day discussing ideas and designing how the game would look like. In the end, I believe we made really good progress. We organized our design ideas in a power point presentation to better organize our ideas. I ended up making a diagram that summarizes our ideas for this project

Besides designing, some of my team members started setting up a unity project to learn more about Google VR and its API. We've also started creating user stories in Trello to organize what must be created for the game, and today I'm learning and working on the foundations of this blog.
To conclude, this week has been focused on designing and learning more about the subjects that we must work on. We had a pretty good start on designing the game Id say and hopefully in the next week or two we can start development on this project.
