Josue's Log: Week 6

During the week, I started adding some features to the Simon Says game such as UI and a visible display of a rna messenger being built. I also set up a simple story mode for Simon Says where you have to match a certain number of patterns in order to go another scene. I also added a small detail where you see a text appear saying "GO!" when a pattern is done showing off. With the Dodge Antibodies game I also implemented a story mode where the UI is disabled and you simply must reach the cell to get to the next scene. You don't have any lives so you try again until you pass it. Last but not least I started working on the trophy room. I created a pedestal and book shelf with Maya and then started implementing the basic concept of the trophy room. In the trophy room, there will be book shelves around the room with pedestals standing in front of the shelves. I managed to give the functionality where you click a pedestal to move towards it. In the shelves you will see the trophies where you can look at a trophy and click on it so that it moves to the pedestal where you can have a closer look. The trophy rotates when its displayed on the pedestal and you can click on the trophy again to put it back on the shelf.

We had our meeting with our clients on Wednesday where we simply showed our clients the progress that we made in the week. Id say they were pleased with what they saw, and at the same time our mentor Haifa was evaluating our work.
