Sebastian's Log: Week 6

During the sixth week, we spend time finishing the minigames to show them to the clients. I managed to finish the Transcription minigame, by adding levels, lives and score to the minigame using a 3d text and modifying it using code. After play testing, the game for a while we realized that the game is repetitive and not fun for people who already master the topic, so I added a timer to give more challenge into it, probably we’ll have to add more mechanics or feedback to make it more fun. After that, I found two bugs in the minigame, but I had to stop working on it for a while because we decided to add Facebook sharing to the game to get free marketing for the app. It took me a login in time to understand and download the Facebook SDK but after looking at different tutorials I managed to login to Facebook while playing the game, showing the name and profile picture of the user. It was a fun week working and learning Facebook, hope next week I can add more stuff to it like the share, invite friends, and challenge your fiend’s buttons and finally start working on a score that can be used and shared to Facebook.
